P&L Services is a privately held publishing company based in London. P&L specialises in financial markets business and technology information and, apart from Profit & Loss magazine, has a number of unique products that service the information and analysis requirements of our audience.
The www.profit-loss.com website launched in 1999 and has grown with the business. The site carries News Alerts and a comprehensive, fully searchable archive of all P&L's published information, accessible on a subscription-only basis. The current hit rate (as of April 2003) averaged 145,000 per month.
About the Publisher:
Julie Ros has been a journalist covering the currency, IT and broader financial markets since 1989. Prior to founding P&L Services and launching Profit & Loss magazine in July 1999, she spent her career working as a journalist at several well-known media firms. From January 1993 until March 1999, she worked for Waters Information Services where she served as the London Bureau Chief; as well as editor of the global foreign exchange newsletter FX Week; and editor of ACI Briefing, then published by Waters. During this time, she also served as executive editor for two additional publications, Derivatives & Risk Technology and Risk Management Operations. Prior to Waters, Ms Ros was a markets reporter for the former Dow Jones Telerate.
About the Editor:
Colin Lambert joined P&L Services in August 2001 after a 21-year career in the financial markets, predominantly in foreign exchange trading. He joined P&L from MCM Inc, an analytical company focused on the financial markets. Whilst there, Mr Lambert managed the flagship CurrencyWatch I product. In his dealing career, he worked in New York, Singapore, Toronto, Tokyo and London for both buy-side and sell-side institutions, in several roles, including chief dealer.
